Projektbeschreibung der*des Nominierenden
| Professor Pilewskie is a world-leading expert in the field of measurements of atmospheric radiation from airborne platforms and satellite. He has significantly contributed to the improvement of our knowledge of the absorption effects of clouds on the global climate and developed novel remote sensing techniques to distinguish between the liquid and ice phases in clouds. During his research stay, Prof. Pilewskie will investigate new approaches to derive the Earth's albedo - the power to reflect radiation - from space. |
